My Mp3 player got confied what should i do?

i let my friend hold my mp3 player and she accidently got my touch screen tooken away and im scared 2 tell my mom i got it tooken away and its a month and 17 days since it been tooken it got taken(march 31,2009) and its now may what i should do without my mom knowin I got it tooken
