If a prescription is written incorrectly and crossed out is it still legally allowed?

Ok, so say your doctor were to incorrectly write the dosage needed on a prescription. Would the doctor have to completely rewrite another script or would they be allowed to cross it out and fix the error? Will pharmacies accept of this or do they want clear unmarked scripts? Thank you!!
