don't rant to him after the fact because hes going to open and read it and think to himself "wtf this is random as hell" and either not respond or respond back with some choice words of his own. he was simply hoping to avoid opening a subject that was either painful for him or just got tired of talking about it. instead open with something a bit softer like theres are still something id like to talk about open in a un threatening manner to avoid the all out argument
