What are some hardy reliable plants that bloom July/August?

I plan on growing flowers for a wedding July 31st, so I am looking to plant some things that would be in bloom around that time. I'll be growing these around 45�N latitude, so the growing season is quite short, reliably Memorial Day to Labor Day--although I could start a few smaller plants indoors. Any suggestions are welcome.
